Social Networking

This is my first time to read "Facebook" from another site. I've never visited it until I started week 12 on this training.

I thought social networking program will be a good idea to introduce for our library as our library need this service. It is not only to announce our updated news or activities in the library, but also we can communicate with our patrons. If our libary can set up the social networking for different age groups of patrons with multilanguage function, we can keep a good relationship with them and attract them to participate more activities in the library. All visitors is very important for the library, otherwise, we can't survive. Is it right?

Podcast

If the library use podcast on touch screen public computer, patrons can listen and know more updated news about the library's activities. It will be much convenient for the patrons because not every patron know how to use the internet, especially the elderly person. Just one touch, they can know more. Do you agree?

Yes, podcasting is another way of reaching our clients and may appeal to people who'd rather listen to how to do things than read manuals / procedures etc.
Thanks for your input.
